Joy Whitman, PhD, LCPC, LPC is licensed in both Missouri and in Illinois and has been working with clients since 1991. She is the clinical director of Kansas City Psychotherapy. Over the course of her training and experience, her style of therapy has evolved to an integrative approach combining humanistic, feminist, and psychodynamic theories of personality development. She has expertise in: eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender clients. Her practice is focused on working with adults and couples.

Marty Biggar, MS, PLPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Kansas and a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri. She has a master’s of science degree in counseling psychology and a graduate certification in child and adolescent psychology from Avila University and a bachelor’s of science in developmental psychology with a minor in sociology from the University of Kansas. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

Jason Blankenship, MS, PLPC is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor
(PLPC) in the state of Missouri under the supervision of Joy Whitman, PhD. He holds two graduate degrees from
the University of Arkansas, a Master’s of Arts in English literature and
a Master’s of Science in Mental Health Counseling. Jason specializes in grief, loss, and bereavement; childhood abuse as it
manifests in adulthood; and the process of forgiveness.

George Wine-Chase, MS, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters in Mental Health Counseling and a Masters in Divinity. In addition to psychotherapy he also provides professional coaching, as a certified coach with the International Coach Foundation (ICF).
